Keystone Symposia: Epithelial Plasticity and Epithelial to Mesenchymal Transition is the most prominent event that will focus the advancement in understanding of Epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) against the background of the inherent plasticity of the epithelial cells. The event will assemble scientists who work on different aspects of epithelial plasticity and EMT. The conference will deliver a prime session, discussing the recent insights into the differentiation of epithelial cells from stem cells, the maintenance of epithelial integrity and the inherent plasticity of epithelial cells. On the basis of the first session, Keystone Symposia: Epithelial Plasticity and Epithelial to Mesenchymal Transition will feature seven sessions emphasizing progress in understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying epithelial plasticity and EMT, the roles of EMT in normal development, the roles of EMT in cancer and fibrosis, including progress toward therapies based on inhibition of EMT.
