Green infrastructure is increasingly recognized as an effective way to reduce the emissions that contribute to climate change. The concept of green roofs, green walls and other living infrastructure is taking effect in cities around the world. The 8th Annual Green Roof and Wall Conference was intended to bring the international community together in an effort to address the issues of green roofs, walls and urban forests, as they are related to the environment. The 8th Annual Green Roof and Wall Conference would provide an opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of people by providing artistic benefits, filtering air pollution, reducing energy use, cutting greenhouse gases and managing stormwater. The success of GRP (Green Roof Professional) was due to support from public policy, ambassadors and sponsors.
