The 21st edition of the International Pig Veterinary Society (IPVS) Congress will share ideas for producing healthy swines. The event will attract swine veterinarians and researchers from across the world. The organizing committee will focus on topics like food safety, pig production, nutrition, antimicrobial resistance, reproduction, animal welfare, in addition to emerging diseases like H1N1 influenza and other important challenges faced by the industry. The IPVS conference will be based on presentations, panel discussions, sessions, networking opportunities, social activities and committee meetings. The IPVS will also include social moments like Hog Jog which would include the participation of walkers and runners from across the world. The event will take place on a 10 km road stretch in Stanley Park. The technical tour will include a visit to the Sunhaven Britco Pork and the processing plant, Animal Health Centre, Agriculture Diversity Tour, Animal Welfare Program, Greenbelt Veterinary Services.
