PHONONS 2010 is an international conference based on the fact of Phonon Scattering in Condensed Matter. The event will highlight the latest developments in areas like thermal transport in nanostructures, femtosecond X-ray scattering and nano-ultrasonics. The event would include plenary sessions, oral and poster sessions. The event, occuring second time on Asia, will be held from April 18 to 23, 2010 at the National Taiwan University. The topics that would be covered during the conference include:
- Solitons and nonlinear phenomena
- Light, neutron and x-ray inelastic scattering
- Nano- and micro-thermal phonon transport
- Phase transitions
- New phonon techniques, materials, and phenomenon
- Surface acoustic waves science and techonology
