The Second Australasian Ground Control in Mining Conference 2010 is the largest mining ground control event in Australia. It aims to bring together practical mine site operators, technical support personnel, geotechnical engineers, consultants, researchers and mining engineers concerning mining geomechanics and ground control. The conference, jointly organized by AusIMM and University of New South Wales, will offer a superb opportunity to all mining industry geotechnical staff to gain valuable information and best practice in the region and abroad. The event will also offer a platform for dialogue between the coal and metalliferous division of the industry, with an attention on innovative technologies and improvements. It will also feature an exhibition showcasing cutting-edge technologies, products and services related to ground control in mining.
