Singapore has emerged as a leader in advanced technology for renewable energy solutions, and is a hub for number of multi-national energy companies. The Singapore Energy Conference (SEC) is a major event of the International Energy Week (3 to 7 November) that will jointly be organized by Energy Market Authority, Singapore Government, and Energy Studies Institute, National University of Singapore. sIt's a forum for policymakers from government or industry, to engage and exchange dialogue with each other and also with experts, representatives from various research institutes, policy makers, and energy industry players. The conference themes include Sustainable Energy Sources and Technology, Risks and Opportunities for Businesses, and Integrated Energy Solutions to Achieve Sustainability in Cities. The topics will range from climate change policies, sustainable technology, energy efficiency, business risk and opportunities and integrated energy solutions for cities. The prominent speakers will be Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Singapore, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry- Singapore, Minister of State for Energy-United Kingdom, Chairman-Global Business Network and a few others.
