Event Profile
The SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 will extend the horizons of innovation and excellence in creative, scientific, and educational work. The professionals from the computer graphics community in Asia and throughout the world will attend the event. Computer graphics and its associated applications make the core of interactive digital media, which is the centric area of this event. The event incites thoughts, explores ideas in innovative ways, addresses contemporary issues, interactively engages viewers in discovery, and stimulates their intellect and imagination. SIGGRAPH Conference and Exhibition Asia 2008 has the full support of the Singapore Government as it is actively promoting research and development in interactive digital media, and has set aside SGD 500m for this purpose over the next five years.
