The APERA Conference 2008 is an event for educational research for innovation and quality in education. The conference is jointly organized by NIE, the Asia-Pacific Educational Research Association (APERA) and the Educational Research Association of Singapore (ERAS). It strives to globalize educational research across the continents and to address the issues of interest to educational researchers, policy makers, practitioners and educators across the disciplines and schools. The National Institute of Education (NIE) has collaboration with major institutions and organizations worldwide to enhance education status for Singapore and Asia through teacher-education programmes and strong emphasis on research to improve policy and practices.
