The Higher Education Summit 2009 aims to provide the leading discussion and networking event for university leaders and senior managers in the UK. The summit is being organized by The Guardian in association with Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills, Universities UK. The objectives of the HE Summit are to set out the current policy developments and examine potential implications for diversifying UK institutions, debate the future funding of a world-class UK Higher Education system, examine how to choose your institution’s future, market segment and University Selling Points as institutions become increasingly stratified, and map where UK Higher Education may be in 20 years time and provide insight and solutions to the challenges ahead. The summit will provide a forum to network with peers and to step back and understand the context and challenges facing higher education Institutions. It expects to gather a huge number of senior level attendees such as: Vice-Chancellors, Finance Directors, Deans of Faculties, Business Development Directors, Senior Management Team Members, HR Directors, University Chairs, University Governors, Directors of Strategic Planning, Registrars and others.
The summit will focus on many important issues in its sessions that will include:
