The IET 4th International Conference on System Safety 2009 will target on the development and assurance of safety systems. This year conference will include the Safety and Reliability Society Annual Conference - SaRS 2009 with the theme "It's not just wires". The event will be organized by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in conjunction with Safety-Critical Systems Club (SCSC). The conference will highlight a number of sector specific issues as well as cross sector issues such as the use of Safety Integrity Levels (SILs), the role and responsibility of Independent Safety Auditors (ISAs), changes in legislative and certification regimes, and human factors.
