Academic Librarian 2: Singing in the Rain is the one of its kind conference in Hong Kong that will address the major challenges faced by academic librarians in order to organize their collections and interact professionally with their communities, both in the academic, publishing and other vendor communities. ALSR 2010 will be organized by Pao Yue-Kong Library of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), in association with University Library System of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The conference will feature some of the distinguished speakers, offering an in-deepth insight into the skills and positioning of the academic librarian, the impact of the library, its organizational patterns and the value delivered to its owners and clients. Academic Librarian 2: Singing in the Rain Conference will focus on numerous topics related to the following four key themes: Librarians of Tomorrow, Quality Enhancement, New Tools & Culture, and Collaboration & Networking.
