10th Asian Urbanization Conference is scheduled to take place during August 2009 at The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. 10th Asian Urbanization Conference will be organized by Asian Urban Research Association (AURA). The AURA is a non-profit and private research organization whose primary purpose is to promote the study of urbanization, urban growth in Asian regions and to organize Asian Urbanization Conferences.
The themes of the conferences are: Theoretical or empirical studies on urban form and process; Urban population change including migration; Urban systems; Quality of life; Sustainable development; City marketing & economic development; Social justice; Urban governance; Transportation; Applications related to GIS; Comparative urbanization; Environmental conditions in Asian cities; and other papers which contribute to an understanding of Asian urbanization are welcome.
