WindyCityRails 2010 is a one-day conference that will provide indepth knowledge about urban railways. Participants will get the chance to meet some of the top minds and other professionals in the Ruby on Rails community. This will help them to sharpen their technical skills. There will be six sessions with variety of topics presented by some of the leaders in the Rails community to suit all skill levels. Two in-depth tutorials will be based on the process of testing in a legacy environment. All day Obtiva Coding Dojo will take place and participants can practice solid coding techniques in a low-stress, no-pressure environment. They can learn about design patterns, testing, and many other things. Participants will be given a legacy project as base code, and a tutorial to safely add test coverage to the codebase without breaking anything that might already work.
