Next-Generation Biofuels 2010 will bring together leading professionals from the industry to assess the potential of biofuels for both ethanol and drop-in fuels. They will discuss and determine the possible quantity of production, required time in that process, and cost estimation. The US Congress is seeking to expand cellulosic and advanced biofuels through the latest Renewable Fuel Standard (RFSII) and other measures. Though Ethanol will remain as a substantial component of the US fuel supplies RFS II is expecting that it will be surpassed by a new generation of synthetic fuels. The event will include presentations, panel discussions and case studies on the topics mentioned below:
- Bio-Plastics and Bio-Based Chemicals
- Harnessing the Power of the Sun for Next Generation Fuels
- Deriving Liquid Hydrocarbons from Sunlight
- Biomass Economics and Biofuels Supply
- Cellulosic Ethanol and Advanced Biofuels – State of the Industry and New Progress in Commercial Development
- N-Butanol – Progress in Development
- Gasification for Advanced Biofuels
- Petroleum and Biofuels Supply – The Role of Next Generation Biofuels
- Forest Resources for Next Generation Biofuels
- Rapid Thermal Processing (RTPTM) - A Proven Pathway to Renewable Liquid Fuel
- Advantages and Challenges of Drop-in Fuels
- Next Generation Biofuels – Process Updates
